At its 2005 awards dinner, Halifax Global Partner Peter Milley was recognised for his outstanding contribution to the management consulting profession in Atlantic Canada.
The CAMC Atlantic Chapter Award for "Service To The Profession" is presented to a consultant who has gone to considerable effort to enhance the image of the profession and/or the Canadian Association of Management Consultants.
The award is presented to a consultant who has most enhanced the image of the consulting profession and/or CAMC, and:
- Who is recognized by members of CAMC as consistently using and promoting use of the CMC designation in his/her consulting work with clients;
- Who is recognized in the community, and is visible from participation in community service activities;
- Who participates actively in Institute / Chapter activities, perhaps even out of province;
- Who actively sponsors new members;
- Who exemplifies the Code of Ethics in dealing with clients and the consulting community; and,
- Who actively promotes professionalism in the management consulting profession and personally exhibits a high degree of professionalism.
Peter was recognised for his work that contributed to the effective recent integration of the by-laws, policies and Council structures of the CAMC Atlantic Chapter and the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Atlantic Canada, the professional body with statutory responsibility for granting and maintaining the Certified Management Consultant designation in the region.
This marks the second time Peter has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to the management consulting profession in Canada. He was also the 2000 recipient of this award.
