Research workshop planning and facilitation

The Halifax Global team facilitated a meeting attended by about 50 cancer researchers gathered to discuss the possibility of forming a virtual cancer research institute based in Halifax.  The scope of this engagement included planning, facilitating and scribing the session to achieve the session objectives; and developing draft and final session notes and a summary report of the session proceedings, decisions and actions.

Working with a small planning group to prepare for the meeting, Chris Hornberger facilitated the session.

The Halifax Global team displayed extremely effective planning and facilitation skills during a session involving over 50 cancer researchers who came together to discuss creating a formal cancer research organization. The Halifax Global team allowed this diverse group to remain focused on the task at hand and, in turn, allowed us to meet our objectives with respect to the input needed from the cancer group. The session report created by Global Halifax was well done and appropriately reflected the discussion that took place during the session.

We are certainly happy to work with Halifax Global again in the future.
