For business owners and executives, the best advice frequently comes from outside the company and outside their trusted circle of friends and family. Today many leaders are establishing advisory boards to provide insight, direction and counsel.

“They serve solely to provide advice to their business owner and perhaps to the management team as well,” said Andy Cutten, a partner with Halifax Global Inc., a management consulting company based in Nova Scotia.
