Chris Hornberger Awarded Paul Harris Fellowship Award

The partners of Halifax Global are pleased to announce that our partner, Chris Hornberger has been awarded the distinguished Paul Harris Fellowship Award (PHF) by the Rotary Club of Halifax Harbourside.

It is one of Rotary’s highest honours. Recipients are Rotarians and community leaders, recognized for their outstanding contributions and service, demonstrating the highest ideal in Rotary in placing “Service Above Self.” This honour accompanies a club donation of $1,000 US to Rotary International’s Annual Program Fund which supports world-wide humanitarian programs.

Paul Harris was the founder of Rotary International 116 years ago and over that time Rotary has grown to be an organization of 1.2 million members in 35,000 clubs around the globe known for its humanitarian service. The PHF award is widely recognized as an award of distinction not only within Rotary but by other humanitarian organizations worldwide.

Chris serves not only her club but our community in many other ways and over the years, has served on boards and committees of a wide variety of organizations. She has also been a mentor to many newcomers, recent university graduates and emerging entrepreneurs through the Halifax Partnership, ISANS and Futurpreneur.
