Based in Halifax, our client relationships span Eastern and Central Canada. Halifax Global Inc. is a strategy and planning focused consultancy that works with clients in private, public and not-for-profit sectors to identify and implement new ways to grow and transform their organizations.

Andy Cutten, CPA, CA, MBA, CMC

Partner

An experienced management consultant with both an MBA and his CPA, CA, Andy has an executive financial management background that includes 15 years in Chicago, IL, and Annapolis, MD, as the senior financial officer in several global manufacturing and service businesses.

As a senior consultant working with small, medium and large corporate clients, post-secondary institutions, and not-for-profit and member-based organizations, Andy brings extensive strategic, operational planning and governance expertise to all of his engagements.

Past consulting projects include offsite planning sessions with boards of directors and senior management teams; executive advisory services to CEOs in a variety of industries; helping to guide organizations through transition of ownership, organization and senior management team change; and development and execution of high growth strategies and related plans. Andy also has extensive experience working with sales management and representatives, customers and suppliers.

Chris Hornberger, FCMC, CEC

As a strategic planner, executive coach, advisor and facilitator, Chris partners with her clients to help them achieve their business and professional goals. She honed her skills early in her career as an executive and senior manager in the public and private sectors in Canada and the US. Today she offers a wide array of support to an equally wide array of clients.

For Chris, it’s all about the people. By tapping into her client’s knowledge and expertise, she helps them develop the best solutions to meet their needs. For more than 20 years, Chris has worked alongside her clients in a variety of sectors across the Atlantic region, Ontario and nationally. Her projects make a difference every day in people’s lives - people with disabilities, newcomers to Canada, job seekers, women in technology, shareholders in private businesses, scientists, cancer patients, international students and many others.

Chris is a life-long volunteer and believes in giving back to her community. She has served on boards and committees of multiple organizations and is passionate about working with women and under-represented groups, including newcomers to the community, recent graduates, emerging leaders and within the disability community.

Peter Milley, FCMC

Partner

Peter works with clients to help them identify pathways from a challenging present to a sustainable new direction. Applying a proven planning methodology and approach to his assignments, Peter helps client identify and define customer and stakeholder needs, often in complex environments, and assess feasibility as the foundation for workable and practical strategic business plans.

Peter has significant knowledge and strategic and business planning experience in several sectors including: bio and renewable energy; wood and other non-timber forest-based products; waste management and the circular economy; and sustainability.

For all his engagements, Peter draws on 30+ years’ consulting experience, as well as senior executive experience in wood products manufacturing, in public sector policy development, as well as in the financial services sector. Peter has worked in both the United States and Canada and has conducted assignments across North America and Europe.
